Do you believe that building communities is the responsibility of the community or the government? Please explain.

I think that we should gain momentum in our projects by doing things as a collective, and then approach the government by saying this is what has been done and we need your help doing this.

I believe we need to have goals from community members and then approach the government on how it can help us to meet those community goals. The community bears the responsibility to make the government respond appropriately throughout the life of the community. This is very important because the community's needs will change over time and the government needs to change to reflect that it can continue to meet those needs.

I agree that the community should take the initiative to show the government what they are doing and then they tell the government what their needs are.
